Worksop and Retford Post 16 Centres

North Notts College is working together with schools in the Bassetlaw area, to help develop the provision of vocational courses for students at two new Post 16 Centres in Worksop and Retford, both due to be opened this September.

It is our aim to provide vocational courses in a ‘mix and match’ provision with A Levels at the Post 16 Centre to give students the best opportunities for their learning abilities.

 

Worksop Post 16 Centre
North Notts College are working in partnership with Portand and Valley Schools, The Worksop Post 16 Centre will be committed to encouraging participation and achievement that leads to increased social well-being, opportunities and life chances. Its aim is to enhance the employment prospects, education and skills of all, to promote equality of opportunity and make a major contribution to the quality of life for people of Worksop and West Bassetlaw.

There is a commitment from all partners to provide:

  • High quality teaching
  • An inspirational building with first class facilities
  • Excellent support and guidance
  • A wide choice of A Levels and vocational courses
  • Progression to higher education, further education, training or employment

Retford Post 16 Centre

North Notts College are working in partnership with Retford Oaks, Elizabethan High and St Giles School at the Retford Post 16 Centre. North Notts College will be responsible for providing a range of adult courses at the centre as well as the vocational choices for the 16 – 19 age group.

The new Post 16 Centre is committed to encouraging participation and achievement that leads to increased social well-being, opportunities and life chances. Its aim is to enhance the employment prospects, education and skills of all, to promote equality of opportunity and make a major contribution to the quality of life for people of Retford and East Bassetlaw.

There is a commitment from all partners to provide:

  • High quality teaching, learning and training
  • An inspirational new building with first class facilities
  • Excellent support and guidance
  • A wide choice of A Levels and vocational courses
  • Progression to higher education, further education, training and employment
