On behalf of all the Governors I would like to welcome you to the North Nottinghamshire College Governance section of our website. Here you can access information on the Corporation and its Committees, governance policies and procedures, minutes of meetings and details of how to become a governor.
The Corporation (or Governing Body as it is sometimes known) is responsible for the mission and strategic direction of the College, determining policy, and for monitoring the performance of the College. The Corporation does not manage the College or organise its day-to-day affairs, as this is the responsibility of the Principal, who is appointed by the Corporation. The Corporation consists of 19 governors, including the Principal, who come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Their experience and strategic skills make a vital contribution to the continuing development of the College. Membership details can be found using the link to Governors' profiles.
From time to time vacancies will arise on the Corporation. If you feel that you could make a valuable contribution to your community and would be interested in becoming a college governor, click on the link to the section entitled 'Becoming a College Governor'.
I hope you find the information on this website both interesting and informative. If you would like any further information relating to governance arrangements at North Nottinghamshire College please contact Matthew Murphy, Clerk to the Corporation, by telephone on 01909 505202 or by email at mem@ilettclark.co.uk or Alison Oaks, Deputy Clerk, by telephone on 01909 504604.
